Adam Heath MRICS

Since setting up PHD, Adam has worked with a variety of businesses across a number of sectors. Adam provides strategic real estate advice to a variety of clients including turnaround directors, insolvency practitioners and private equity houses. He provides tailored advice to minimise property costs and ensure the subject business maximises the benefit of its property portfolio.

In addition to working in the distressed property market, Adam works with both private and public sector clients providing development, lease advisory and asset management advice – clients include Bakers & Baristas, Geek Retreat and Field Studies Council.

Adam is a Chartered Surveyor with over 20 years’ experience. Adam spent ten years at KPMG, where he headed Real Estate Advisory Services across the Midlands region. A graduate of Reading University, Adam started his career at Chesterton International.

Graham Peat MRICS

Graham is a Chartered Surveyor with over 21 years’ post qualification experience.  Graham began his career at Colliers Erdman Lewis in London before spending 12 years at KPMG.  In April 2016, Graham left his role as national Head of KPMG’s Real Estate Advisory Services team to set up PHD Property Advisory.

Graham specialises in working alongside insolvency practitioners, private equity firms and company directors, providing independent property advice to maximise value and minimise liabilities from stressed and distressed companies.

Graham also works alongside expanding businesses, across all sectors. He advises on and implements property and asset management strategies, which complement the client’s wider business objectives.

Paul Chappell MRICS

Paul is an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor who has been living and working in Bristol for over 19 years.
Paul leads Building Advisory Services for PHD, providing construction and property advice for clients across the UK.

Throughout his career, Paul has enjoyed working with a wide range of clients. These include those in the education, commercial and industrial sectors. As a chartered surveyor Paul has worked in Washington DC, and throughout Europe advising clients across a range of property issues.

Paul’s career started at Bucknall Austin, (now RLB) before he moved to KPMG and spent 5 years in the Real Estate Advisory Team. After leaving KPMG, Paul worked briefly for Watts, before joining Mace in 2016 as Regional Director to start their Building Surveying Team in the South West.

Tom Farrell

Tom joined PHD in July 2020 as an Accounts Manager to work on rent management and property management financials.

Tom was previously a director/owner of Bristol based accountancy firm C V Ross & Co Limited, but left in April 2016 after treatment for cancer in search of a better work/life balance.  After a period working in the accounts payable section of Bath & North East Somerset Council, Tom took up the challenge of Accounts Manager at PHD in search of a more challenging and varied role.

Kieran Long

Kieran Joined the PHD team in February 2021 from a consultancy based in the Cotswolds. Kieran is currently working on delivering construction projects across Multi Academy Trusts. He regularly carries out measured surveys and schedule of conditions for a variety of commercial and retail properties.

He is also a qualified Drone operator carrying out aerial inspections and photography for clients, in addition he holds the NEBOSH Certification in construction health and safety management.

Kieran completed his post graduate diploma at UWE. Along with previous onsite experience working on healthcare and heritage sites in the southwest and is on the APC pathway to becoming a Chartered Surveyor.

Peter Dougill BEng

Peter joined the PHD team in March 2019, leading the utilities reconciliation for insolvency and administration.

Peter brings 30 years’ experience in the energy industry, working for German utility RWE and it’s predecessor companies in the UK. Starting out in fossil-fired power stations as an engineer in Maintenance and later Operations, he moved to the commercial side of utilities in 1993 shortly after privatisation.

With the exception of a two year overseas assignment working on a power station construction and commissioning project between 1995 and 1997, Peter’s career has been largely devoted to managing the short-term commercial interests of RWE’s generation fleet trading UK Power and Gas.

Andrew Swan

Andrew joined the PHD team in December 2016, to lead the business rates recovery service. He entered the rating profession in 1972 through the Valuation Office. He now has over 40 years’ experience of dealing with rate liability issues, both for a large national retailer and subsequently in private practice. Andrew has exploited this experience, managing to bring significant benefits and savings to his many clients.

He has been a member of Turnaround Management Association (TMA) over the last 14 years, as the majority of his workload has revolved around restructuring & insolvency issues.
